‘It’s not over’ – Liverpool handed huge transfer boost as Nabil Fekir’s agent makes transfer claim

Liverpool’s could still complete the signing of Lyon superstar Nabil Fekir this summer, the player’s agent has suggsted.

A transfer looked set to be completed prior to the World Cup 2018 but fell through at the last moment despite a £50million fee being agreed between the two clubs.

Lyon superstar Nabil Fekir could still join Liverpool this summer.

Personal terms also appeared to have been worked out but on June 9 the Ligue 1 side announced the deal was off.

Lyon confidently said they would be able to count on their player in 2018/19, despite later reports suggesting Fekir had been offered to Chelsea and Tottenham.

The French midfielder scored 18 goals and made eight assists last season.

Now, though, the saga has taken another twist with his agent Jean-Pierre Bernes telling La Chaine Info: “He didn’t sign because uh, it is not over! This is not the end of the story.”

The proposed move to Liverpool was thought to have collapsed due to fears over Fekir’s fitness.

A serious injury knee injury limited his appearances in the 2015/16 Ligue 1 campaign.

However, this season he was back to his best, scoring 18 goals and creating eight in the French top-flight.
