When it comes to me rolling up my sleeves and making something in the kitchen, I live by one rule: the easier, the better.
That means not only finding simple recipes that use just a few ingredients I probably already have in my home, but more often finding ones I can whip up in a hurry. As someone who’s pretty much always running late for something, the 5-minute meals below have become a total lifesaver.
Whether I’m making them as an addition to some leftovers or enjoying them all on their own, each delicious dish has totally hit the spot in less time than waiting for delivery.
A few of these 5-minute meals rely on a pressure cooker to get things done fast, but you’ll find plenty to try that just require your ordinary oven and stovetop too.

JAMB Fixes Feb. 26 For Mock Test
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced Feb. 26,for the long anticipated tests of the 2018 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
JAMB’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday in Lagos said a total of 245,753 of the 1,652,795 candidates that registered for this year’s UTME are expected to write the test.
According to him,
“We are happy to announce to the public that the board has concluded arrangement for the conduct of the mock UTME, slated for Monday, February 26.
“This is irrespective of the ongoing strike embarked upon by members of non-academic unions of federal universities nationwide.
“Candidates will soon be informed on when to print notifications for the examination and in addition, notifications will be sent through e-mails and text messages on the schedules of their examination,” Benjamin said.
He explained that the examination was expected to be hitch-free because the board had successfully reduced incidences of malfunctioning of computers by electronically integrating the systems to see their functionality and effectiveness through link tests.
“What this means is that, at the end if the exercise, whatever system that is not seen will not be used for the mock examination. The 2018 exercise sold a total of 1, 966,918 candidate generating profiles. In previous examinations, this number of candidates would have paid for the forms but through our efficient and effective system of ensuring that candidates do not waste resources, we decided to introduce the profile generating regime.By this method, candidates will first have to generate personal profiles before proceeding to obtain pins, in between which they are open to deciding whether to go ahead to pay for the registration documents or otherwise,” Benjamin explained.
The main UTME is expected to hold nationwide from March 9 to March 17
Rolls-Royce Ghost EWB ‘Inspired by Private Jet’
Some of the people who can afford to buy a Rolls-Royce can also afford even more expensive toys, like a private jet.
Those can be had for anywhere between $1 million that is about 360 million naira (really old models) or even $100+ million if you want to custom fit an Airbus or Boeing. Now, Rolls-Royce wants to bring those two worlds closer and provide a similar experience on the road as when you’re flying through the clouds.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost is already exceptional at making you feel as if the car is floating around thanks to its air suspension setup. So if you’ve got that covered, the only thing left to do is work on the car’s aesthetics.
With that in mind, meet the extended wheelbase Rolls-Royce Ghost Inspired by Private Jet, which is on display at the automaker’s Abu Dhabi dealership. It wears a two-tone Arctic White and Midnight Sapphire upper, with a Private Jet Motif coachline and a mainly Arctic White and Fleet Blue Cabin. Completing the look are the two-tone 21-inch 10-spoke part polished forged alloys.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost is powered by a 6.6-liter twin turbo V12 producing 571 PS and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque. Since this is an extended wheelbase (EWB) model, it needs 5.1 seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph), while the regular Ghost which can complete the sprint in 4.9 seconds. But we guess a couple of tenths of a second are insignificant in the rarefied air occupied by the likes of this Rolls special edition.
